Where are all the Todd fans?

It's sad to announce that Gavin Bond's Kickstarter attempt to raise funds to turn his short documentary 'Todd Who' on Todd Rundgren in a full length in-depth one has failed. I was one of 94 backers [seriously Todd fans, where the fuck were you? I know news of the campaign was posted on all the key Todd news sites online and still just 94 of us put our money where our mouths are? What happened to Todd fans being the greatest fans in the world?] So, only 20% of the money was raised. Undaunted Gavin still plans to try and make an extended version, and I wish him luck. Maybe a generous benefactor ( Hello Mr Letterman? ) could come in and back the film's production?

That's too bad, I also contributed.

I've seen Todd join the band several times on Letterman. Do you know if Dave is a big fan?

I'm just presuming that is if were not he wouldn't have been invited back so often to be house band leader when Paul Shaffer away (although PS a fan so maybe that was the 'in')

Pull in Emergency @ Camden Barfly 23/07/10

I like to get out and see new and up and coming bands and last night I went along to the album launch for a Band called Pull in Emergency. As is the case most times for these types of gigs, there were also 3 other bands on the bill, and I have to say that all had something to offer. Hella Better Dancer http://www.myspace.com/hellabetterdancer The night began with a bunch of 16 year olds, fronted by Tilly Scantlebury. They are a band that mange to fuse elements of early Cure, and PJ Harvey in a pleasing manor. I really liked the guitar work by Soph Nathan. Like all good guitarist she adds colour where it is needed without over powering the songs. Of the songs they played I really liked 'The City Sea' and new rocky song 'Say it' ? This is certainly a group worth keeping an eye on. They don't quite have the stage presence mastered yet, but time will bring that, and I'm already looking forward to what they'll sound like in a few years, but don't wait until t...
